Excellent piece. I dislike football & its aggressiveness that I think has been a factor in the belligerent character of American society. The horrible success of Fox Broadcasting has both fed & revealed the weaknesses of our democracy. I can't remember who said this, perhaps Bill Maher, but Rupert Murdoch is the most destructive immigrant in American history.
